ANXIOUS TO DO THE WILL OF GOD

You won't spend the rest of your lives chasing your own desires,

but you will be anxious to do the will of God.

1 Peter 4:2

"Not every one who says to me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven." (Mt 7:21)

"For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day." (Jn 6:40)

We have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, to lead a life worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God (Col. 1:9-10).

Lo, I come; in the roll of the book it is written of me; I delight to do thy will, O my God; thy law is within my heart." (Ps. 40:7-8)
