It is dangerous to believe that God directs every single outcome of events in our lives.
God’s will is permissive in that He has given us free will.
He gives us the power to choose to do what we do. This means that God does not intervene in our affairs except to say, “Choose well what you do!”
If we always had to choose the right way to act, then free will is meaningless and God has merely created a whole lot of robots. -- Kerygma
Do not continue in ignorance, but try to understand what is the will of the Lord. (Ephesians 5:17)
